RoamTrip ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it when you use the RoamTrip mobile application ("the App").
Account Information
When you create a RoamTrip account, we collect your email address and, optionally, your first name. This information is required to provide the service.
Trip and Itinerary Data
Information you enter into the App — including destinations, travel dates, flight details, accommodation, events, transport, and budget — is stored to provide the core trip management service.
Location Data
With your permission, the App accesses your device location while in use to provide location-aware features including live safety scores, weather intelligence, golden hour timing, and nearby points of interest. We do not track your location in the background or when the App is closed.
Photos and Camera
With your permission, the App accesses your camera and photo library for VibeFrame photo capture and to attach photos to trips and journal entries. Photos are stored in your account and are not used for any other purpose.
Documents
Documents you store in the RoamTrip Vault (passports, visas, insurance) are encrypted on your device and stored securely in your account. These documents are never shared or used for any purpose other than displaying them to you within the App.
Financial Data
Expense records you enter into the spend tracker are stored in your account. We do not collect, access, or store any banking or payment card information.
Device Information
We may collect basic device information (device type, operating system version, app version) for the purpose of crash reporting and improving app performance.
Push Notification Tokens
If you opt in to notifications, we store a push notification token associated with your account to deliver alerts (safety, flight, weather, events).
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
The App integrates with the following third-party services to deliver its features. Each service has its own privacy policy.
We only share the minimum data necessary with each third-party service to deliver the relevant feature. We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third party.
All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encrypted connections. Vault documents are protected by device biometric authentication (Face ID / fingerprint) and are encrypted at rest. We follow industry-standard practices to protect your information.
While we take reasonable precautions, no system is completely secure. We encourage you to use a strong password and to keep your device software up to date.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal data and trip history will be permanently deleted from our systems within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it for longer.
RoamTrip is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

The RoamTrip mobile app does not use cookies. We may use anonymised, aggregated analytics to understand how the App is used, but this data cannot be used to identify you individually.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via the App or by email before the changes take effect. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest revision.
